Missing PK and other things !!

PK has left to US, last Saturday for three months on some training from his office. This is the first time, he has gone for such a long time and I don’t know how am I going to spend my time without him. I am just missing him like anything 😥 My In-laws have come here to stay with me. But still it’s going to be hard for me :(.

I am gonna miss so many things about him 😥 I am so used of him around me that each and everything in our house going to remind me. The whole office knows that PK is going out of country as my energy is full down. But nothing is gonna stop. Everything has to go with the flow of time. I am just trying to cope up with the life. Ok enough of gyan 🙂

I don’t know how to utilize my timings especially in the weekends. Planning to join some classes, but I am not sure about my interest. If you have any suggestions, pl pass on to me, it will be very useful for me. I want to visit some NGO in the weekend and spend time with the kids, teach them and provide some essential items. I know I know, I am very selfish 😳 I am doing this now, because I want to utilize time. So mean of me 😦 But I don’t know when PK is there, time just flies. From long time, I want to do something like this, but I don’t know I didn’t got the opportunity or rather I can say I didn’t tried to do it 😦 It’s ok if I am being selfish, but atleast I will have the satisfaction that I did something to the society. May be once I start this, I can continue doing even after PK comes back and maybe I can make PK also involve this 😛 There are so many NGO’s in Mumbai, but I don’t know which one is genuine. Also, I can’t teach or talk to the kids in Marathi; I can communicate with them in Hindi. If anyone knows a genuine NGO, where I can go and work in the weekends, pl let me know. I will be very happy if something works out in this field 🙂 I just want to give back the society something 🙂

Brother and Sister – the Best relationship!!

This month I am leaving to Bangalore for my Cousin Brother V’s marriage :).

When I think about the marriage, I realized that how much my cousins have grown up. They have grown up enough that, one is getting married, another two are engineers and earning and three other cousins are in final year and in another one year they will be out of college. I seriously do not know where the time has fled away. God, I still remember how much fun we used to have when we meet up at the function. We, 10 cousins used to get together and used to pull each other legs. We played so many games. I had a special bonding with all the cousins than my sister. I don’t know why, but they felt very safe with me and they used to tell me everything happening around them. Oh god, it was so much fun 😛

The carom game which we played with teams with a grudge to defeat the other party and it would end by throwing pawns on each other. Shuttle, badminton, thief and police, hiding game, god it was totally fun. The best part was that the elders also used to join the fun ride 😀

I think I need to tell the details of each person here. Pl tolerate with me for the long post 😛

Sister: I have already written a post about her and the relationship between us. It has improved a little bit where it was. But still the effort from her side is not happening. Let’s see.

V:- This is the person I adore a lot and very proud of him, because the way he has come up is seriously excellent. He failed in 10^th exam twice, became introvert and feared to meet anyone. If at all he meets in the function, he used to sit in one corner alone. He worked as a waiter for some time and struggled a lot to earn income to help his father. Finally I just don’t know how and when he came to Bangalore and got a job in marketing and now he is doing excellent job. Now he can talk fluent English whereas he didn’t knew how to talk, he has become extrovert, can speak to rock also and always jovial. I just can’t express how much I am happy for him. Now he is getting married. I wish both of them all the best for the future 😀

P: He is the younger brother of V and me. He is always jovial and used to pull everyone’s leg. He had got white hairs every early. I can say at around 16 or 17 and we used to make fun of him always. He used to tell so many colorful stories about girls, god I used to fall laughing 😆 He does mimicry of all the Kannada actors with funny quotes. He is totally fun and we always had a helluva time with him. He is working as accountant and doing great job.

P1: He is the person who is very close to me. We both used to spend so many nights sitting in the balcony and discuss so many things in life whether it might be about books, career or any cute girl. We both have gone to so many movies. He is totally fun to be with. I remember one incident. I was around 6 or 7 years and he was around 2 or 3 years. I was operated for some silly reasons (another post 😀 ). I was discharged from the hospital and felt very sleepy. I was able to make out what was happening around me. I was taken to P1’s home and I was made to sleep on the bed. Immediately P came to me, caressed my hair, kissed me on my forehead and told “K get well soon, I want to play with you, I love you”. I just can’t forget that incident 🙂 He is my darling brother. Now he is a software engineer and work for an esteemed company.

S: She is one energetic person. God, I just don’t know she will be always in high spirit, whether it might at 2 in the night 😀 Her voice will be always cheerful. She is the darling of our house. I think she is lucky to have a dad like my uncle. How much he love her, god, I think I need to write a post about him. Just a slight cut on her hand, he just rush back and put so much bandage on her hand with tears in his eyes. He is just madly loves his daughter. Same with S. She just loves her dad like anything. She narrates the whole day story to him including the cute boys. Touchwood!! She is very sweet and at the same time she is very very lazy. Can you believe, she gets up at 3 or 4 in the afternoon, when she has got holiday from the college!! But she is always jovial. She had come here around 15 days back here and we had a very nice time. She is doing her Engineering and next year she will get into the corporate world 🙂

D:- She look exactly like me and very silent, simple girl :). She is bit reserved but very sweet girl. She is so talented, she can do awesome bridal makeup, put mehendi, drawing, etc. She is doing her graduation and will complete next year.

K:- She is the Ms. Universe, Ms.World of our home 😆 She is too good-looking, very well-mannered girl. First look at you, you feel that she has got lots of head weight or attitudes, but once you interact with her, you will know that she is the sweetest girl. Since, her parents that is my uncle and aunty speak English and Tamil, she is not so good in Kannada. But when she try to speak kannada, it will be very funny 😀 P and P1 job will be always making fun of this girl and she just takes it sportively. I remember, when she was small, every visit, she used to change her desired profession, sometimes, it used to be model, then RJ, then Air hostess, then Engineer and now finally she has chosen Finance 😆 Whenever I meet her, she is very warm and friendly. She is doing her Graduation and complete next year.

C:- He is my kid. He is the youngest cousin. I literally brought him up. I think from the age of 4 years I took care of him. Every summer holidays or even a single holiday, he used to run away to our house. He just loved me like anything. I used to play with him, whether it is cricket or anything. I used to give him bath, get him dressed, and tell him bed time stories. That reminds me, God how many bed stories I had told him. So many stories I myself had created. Whenever he go back to his house, he used to scold his mummy and tell her that K tells stories so nicely and you don’t know anything.. LOL.. I could not believe when he sent me orkut and FB request. He has grown up now. He is doing his engineering. I miss those innocent things about him. Though he has grown up, he is still a kid for me.

I have literally seen my cousins growing into adults. I am so looking forward for this marriage as I can have same fun with all the above cousins.

Siblings are so much fun right! I think it is the best relationship one could have. I think, each and everyone would have some special bonding and stories with siblings. Siblings always rock !!

History Repeats !!

Scene 1:-

Me: how are you Athe?

Aunt: Fine..  how abt you and how is PK?

Me: Yeah.. we are fine. So Whats happening?

Aunt: Nothing, Just watching tv. You know what, this world is going to end in December, 2012. They are showing in TV.

Me: Oh is it!! So sad (could not control laugh)

Aunt: Yeah. But you know, the cities which are nearby to Sea, is going to be more affected and the whole cities are going to immerse in water.

Me: Oh god!!

Aunt: Bangalore is going to be bit safe because it is not surrounded by any sea. But still whole world is going to end. So can’t say about Bangalore.  So you people do one thing, you pack things how much every possible and leave that city in first of week of December’12 and come down here. So we all will be together and if something happens, we all can die together, what say?

Me: Athe, these tv channels shows bullshit.. You just don’t believe all these things. They just want their TRP to rise.. that’s it.. Dont believe all these people. Nothing is going to happen. Have we not heard these type of news earlier also, but nothing happened right? So dont worry.

Aunt: No K, it’s going to be true. 100% true. So you just don’t ignore this and come down. Please atleast for my sake come down. I can’t see you people there (and she becomes emotional)

Me: Ok ok, fine. We will come. Now don’t cry. Ok. Bye and take care

Aunt: Ok bye

Scene 2

Me: how are you Athe?

Aunt: Fine..  how abt you and how is PK?

Me: Yeah.. we are fine. So Whats up?

Aunt: Nothing.. You have to tell me.

Me: Nothing Athe.. Just life is going on and we both are enjoying the life nicely.

Aunt: Dont you feel like having one more member in your family.

Me: Yeah I feel. That’s why we are planning to get a puppy to our house 🙂

Aunt (irritated): Oh god! Dont you think that you people are having too much fun and don’t you feel like having a kid. It’s now nearly 4 years you got married. It’s long time that you get a kid. I don’t know how much time I am going to live, so before I go I want to see your kid and I want to do all the formalities for you. Ok. So better you both plan and give me the good news soon.

Me: But Athe, I was thinking, anyway, this world is going to end by December, 2012 🙂 So, why should we struggle so much for the kid, morning sickness, then labour pain, then kid comes, diaper change, sleepless nights and so on and then the whole world ends. Its better we both enjoy another two years totally and we will die. That’s cool right 🙂

Aunt: Oh those news are just bull shit. These tv channels just say something. Those things are not true. Earlier also so many things they had told, but nothing came true. So this one also going to be flop. So you damn just don’t give me excuse for not having kids ok. Better you give me the good news. Ok

Me (controlling my laughter): Ok Athe.. Anyway, you are always right!! 🙂

Fraud!!

This incident happened around 5 months back and whenever I remember it, my blood boils

PK had gone to Trident hotel for client meeting in his car. He had an office driver with him. He had two wallets, one is for his regular cards which he use frequently and other is all the loyalty cards. He usually keeps the wallet which has got regular cards with him and other wallet will be lying in the car. Unfortunately, that day he had kept one Citibank credit Card also. When he got down from the car in the hotel, he left one wallet which had Citibank credit card and went for the meeting.

When he came back he totally forgot about that and came back home. Next day was Saturday. Morning we got up and had gone out for some work. Around 11AM PK got a call from someone and he said that he has got a wallet which has got many debit cards in that and asked us to come and collect it from him. He spoke very fluent English and we were sure that he was a very genuine person and in a hurry we left. PK could not recall what all the things were there in the wallet and we thought may be by mistake he might have left the cards in that wallet. He called us to a mall in Goregaon within 45 mins, as he has to go home. We left all the work from where we’re and left to the destination.

Unfortunately, there was too much of traffic that day and we could not make in 45 mins. He had already called us twice asking to come over fast as he is in hurry. Finally PK told me to tell him that let him go to his residence, and let him give his residence address and we will go to his home and collect the same, which I also felt was a right thing. We didnt liked that person to wait for unnecessarily as we were struck in traffic and it would take atleast another 45 mins to reach that place. So I called up and told him to give his residence address, to which he told that no, its ok, I will wait for you, you come over here. That time, we both felt something fishy. Till that time, he was in a hurry to go back and now when I asked him the address, he was not ready to give the address and he has got all the time to wait for us. So we thought let’s go and check it out and told him that we will be there in half an hour.

Finally we reached the mall and went to the food court where he told us to come. When he spoke to us in fluent English and so decently he spoke to us, we thought he must be a well-educated decent person. But when we went there, we were seriously surprised to see the person who was in shabby clothes, with torn chappals. He had around 2-3 people with him, who just looked like a goondas. I was totally scared to see them. My heart beat had started beating faster.

We then went to him and he introduced himself and other people and we just sat there. He then handed over the wallet to us and told us to check everything. Everything was in order and we felt better.

He told us the person who was sitting in his right, had got this wallet in Bandra on friday. He checked the wallet and on saturday, he tried to swipe the card and it showed that there is a credit limit of 3.5L. We were shocked, because, we don’t have any credit card which has got so much credit limit. We knew that these people are just upto something.

PK told clearly that we don’t have any credit card which has so much limit, so please don’t tell lies. He told that no, it is true, but he could not swipe as it showed error later on. We thanked God for that.

Then he started telling that he know many South Indian Directors, who are his very close friends. Can you believe, he even told that Mani Ratnam is his friend. He even told that Mani Ratnam has asked him to come over to Chennai, to see some promos of his new movie. Yes, he went to that height. We had enough and we told him thanks for this and we tried to leave that place

But he stopped us and told that our boys have done so nice job, so i think you should do something for them. There you go.. We don’t want to create any scene there. So PK told that he does not have money, so send one person, will draw the cash and give it to him. I think that was a wise decision.

We took him down and gave him 100rs. He started shouting saying that I have left my job and have come here. I have lost my one day salary. 100rs. is nothing. You should pay me atleast 2K. WTF..We just told him that we don’t have money and we can pay only this much. PK even told him that if you would have not swiped the card and returned it just like that, I think we would have considered to give you something. But you did a wrong thing. Just do whatever you want, we can’t pay anything and we just left that place immediately. Then I called the Bank and cancelled the card. After that, we have not got any call from them.

Seriously people do so many things for money and innocent people just fall prey to that. Luckily, we didn’t lost money. I was surprised about that person. I think he is educated, but why is he doing this kind of job.

So Pl beware with these type of people

New Year Resolution!!

I have never taken any resolution in any New Year, as I know that I will never achieve that. But this time, for a change, I have decided to make some resolution.

Here are my 2011 resolutions:-

1. First and foremost resolution is weight loss. Last year, I was very successful in loosing that weight. I want to shed another 6-7 kg, which will be ideal weight for my height. Hopefully I will be successful.
2. Need to be regular in blogging.
3. I want to write something about social issues, but have never been successful. My blog is full of my life. Somewhere, I don’t know I always feel that I don’t do justice to the social issues like child labour, dowry problem, etc., with my post. I have read so many posts on this from many bloggers and they have done 100% justice to the cause. I have decided to write atleast a single post on this issue.
4. I want to wear saree as many occasion as possible this year. Also, planning to wear saree to the office. All my wedding sarees and sarees which I have got as a gift are just lying in the cupboard and whenever I see that I feel sad. I think I can count the number of times I wore after marriage.
5. I need to socialize with people. There is always complaint that I never socialize with anyone. I think I need to overcome that. I take more time to make friends. I think that makes another post.
6. I want to learn some type of hobbies. I tried dance and guitar last year, in which dance was a flop show. So this year, planning for swimming class.
7. The main resolution for this year will be charity. I have never been involved in any charity work and am ashamed of this. There are people who does overloaded with work, but still take out their time for charity work in the weekends. So I have decided to do something.
8. Read lots and lots of books. I have got whole list of books to be read, but I could read only some of them.
9. Spend lots of time with family and friends, which I could not make it last year.
10. Take atleast one or two vacations and visit the places, where I have never been, this year as we didn’t took any long vacation last year.

Lets see how much I will be able to achieve. Wish me Luck!!
